Accessibility

The State of Idaho is committed to providing an inclusive and accessible experience across our many different websites and web applications. Through prioritizing accessibility, we continually improve the user experience for everyone, regardless of an individual’s ability. Our ongoing efforts and commitment to accessibility align with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA criteria. These efforts demonstrate the dedication to making all Idaho.gov websites as accessible as possible.

Assessment Methods

Idaho.gov websites have been designed for use in a wide variety of browsers and with assistive technologies in mind like the NVDA screen reader.

The accessibility of Idaho.gov sites are tested using various methods and tools that incorporate web scanning and manual testing.

We continuously evaluate existing digital content and remediation efforts have been ongoing on all websites within the State of Idaho. While this effort has resulted in progress, the volume of work that needs to be accomplished requires a coordinated effort across all state agencies.
